“Gilesta at the Construction Forum 2025: Data, Processes, and Partnerships Are Transforming the Sector”

December 10, 2025

The Construction Forum 2025, organized by Verslo žinios, once again demonstrated that today the construction sector operates at an entirely new level of maturity. It is no longer enough to simply build well — the biggest drivers of success are the ability to manage risks, anticipate price fluctuations, effectively plan project dynamics, and work with data.

This year, we participated in the forum as partners and actively joined the discussions. Gilesta was represented by CEO Romas Paliulis, whose insights touched on nearly all event topics and clearly outlined the direction in which the modern construction industry is moving.

Romas Paliulis took part in a discussion on the development prospects of cities and regions. He emphasized that the sector faces three major challenges in the coming years: geopolitical instability, a high number of complex projects, and a growing shortage of specialists. According to him, these challenges are not a cause for alarm but a reason to rethink established approaches — the sector needs more mature management. Data analysis, digitalization, and clear processes are now the only sustainable strategy that enables companies to foresee risks, accurately plan budgets, and make timely decisions. Paliulis notes that this is exactly what has become one of Gilesta’s strongest competitive advantages in recent years.

In another forum discussion, Paliulis addressed the realities of supply chains. Although the situation today appears stable, he stressed that this is not a reason to relax. The construction market remains highly dependent on geopolitical factors, and the supply of materials — particularly reinforced concrete, concrete, and metal — may face pressure due to the large number of state-funded projects currently underway. According to Paliulis, success today depends not so much on market conditions as on a construction company’s ability to analyze data, plan ahead, and have multiple action scenarios. This approach helps avoid supply chain disruptions and protects projects from delays.

This year’s Construction Forum clearly showed that the sector is maturing. It is shifting from simply “building well” toward a culture of data, process management, digitalization, and accountability throughout the entire project cycle. This direction aligns closely with Gilesta’s approach — a strategic path the company consciously chose several years ago and which is now yielding tangible results.

As Paliulis highlighted, the company remains committed to growing sustainably and strategically:
“We have a strong team, a clear methodology, and a well‑defined direction. This allows us to plan for long‑term growth and pursue leadership in the sector.”
