The act, that confirming the completion of the construction of special-purpose buildings in Šiauliai, is already with us!
We have walked what seemed like a long and arduous road with swift, steady and confident steps. "Gilesta" team can do anything. We consulted, we discussed, we decided, we built - and today we have a town, that will be home to the Žemaitija Brigade's Duke Margiris Infantry Battalion, with around 500 military personnel. We are pleased to have built a modern infrastructure for both military and civilian employees of the national defence system.
The development of the three military towns is a strategic project of the Ministry of National defence. It aims to enhance Lithuania's combat capabilities, provide physical infrastructure for the permanent deployment of the expanding combat capabilities of the Lithuanian armed forces, and strengthen defence and deterrence. The new and well-equipped military campuses provide the physical infrastructure for the permanent deployment of the Lithuanian armed forces' combat capability, improve the conditions of service of soldiers, the maintenance of combat equipment and increase the quality of the infrastructure for individual training of soldiers. The towns also provide excellent conditions for battalion soldiers to perform their duties and for the training of conscripts.
