How do you build a military town when there aren't many public - private partnerships like this on the market?
That's the challenge we faced with Šiauliai military town project: 27,000 square meters, €25 million, and 1 year and 3 months to get it done.
✔️ First of all, a deep understanding of functions: how officers will move around, which spaces will be used the most, where additional space is needed for weapons or heavy boots.
✔️ We built the town so that it would be functional, durable, and as energy-efficient as possible.
✔️ All buildings are connected to a single management system: energy, heating, ventilation – everything is controlled from a single platform.
✔️ Sustainability: we chose environmentally friendly materials, saved resources, and installed advanced systems.
✔️ The biggest challenge was time. During peak hours, more than 300 people worked on the site, planning was done down to the minute, and solutions had to be coordinated with the client in real time.
This project was and still is further proof, that "Gilesta" is capable of overcoming new and complex challenges and creating solutions where none exist.
